Add your shop to the directory

If your shop is not listed, you can add it in a few minutes by finding it in Google Business. No account, no fee, and no way to buy a better position.

Three steps

How adding a shop works

You are searching Google Business for the shop rather than filling in a profile about it, which keeps the details identical to the ones customers already see elsewhere.

1

Pick the country

Malaysia, Singapore or Australia. The country decides which town lists the shop can appear in, so pick the one the shop actually trades in.

2

Search the shop on Google Business

Search by shop name and town. If it already appears, the listing exists and you should claim it instead of adding a second one.

3

Confirm, and it goes in

The shop appears beside every other shop in that town, in the same order and with the same fields. Nothing is prioritised and nothing is hidden.

Worth checking first

What owners ask before adding a shop

Most of it comes down to duplicates, and to what happens to the details you send us.

Search your town before you add anything. Most independent shops in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia are already in. If yours is, claim it — a second listing splits the rating and the reviews between the two entries.

It is free, and a new listing sits at the same weight as every other listing in that town. There is no premium placement to buy and no badge to earn.

What the shop already publishes publicly through Google Business: name, address, phone, website, rating and review count. Nothing private is published, and we do not add details of our own.

Yes. Claim the listing to correct it, or ask for it to be removed entirely. Removal is permanent and needs no reason.

Already in the directory?

Most shops are — so claim it instead of adding it twice

Two listings for one shop split the rating and the reviews between them, and both then look worse than the shop really is. Search your town first.
